Join us on April 11 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. for free family fun at Healthy Kids Day. It's a time for healthy information, Inflatables, swimming, games, contests, kids vision screening, face painting, crafts, popcorn, and more! 22nd Annual Taste of Daviess County
Marvel at the Taste
Superheroes invade this year's 22nd Annual Taste of Daviess County with the theme "Marvel at the Taste." Eighteen area restaurants are confirmed: Etiennes' Farm Market, Kaffee Haus Bakery, Noble Romans, Wendy's, Odon Essen Haus, Der Pizza Haus, Cherry Ghost Coffee House, Pop Around the Clock, Carla's Catering, Pizza Hut, El Mazatlan, The Produce Patch, Reid's Food & Stuff, Somethin' Sweet, Long John Silvers, The Lodge, Procopio's Pizza and Pasta, and Mmm Yo That's Good.
The event will be Monday, April 27, from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Community Building in the Eastside Park. Tickets are $15 Single, $25 Couple and $30 Family, and are now for sale at the YMCA front desk or from staff members. Tickets will also be available at the door, but will cost $3 more. Proceeds from Taste go to the Y's Scholarship Youth program.
Summer Day Camp
Join the excitement and adventure of the YMCA Day Camp starting May 27 and continuing throughout the summer. The Y Camp offers a summer full of nature, daily swimming, games, arts & crafts and weekly fie!d trips.
A weekly theme and a wide variety of programs for those finishing grades K - 6 help prevent summer learning loss. Camp is held from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Youth Swim Team
Come join us and have fun while improving your skills, endurance, and racing techniques. This practice-based program is for youth between the ages of 6 to 17 who are comfortable in the water and who are able to swim one length of the pool without assistance or floatation device.
Sign up is now open, and closes June 2. Swim practice begins on June 3.
Days.....Tuesdays and Thursdays
Times....6:45 to 8 p.m.
Fees....Members $28/ Program Members $48
Girls Volley BallA girls volley ball team will open to girls in going into grades 3-6. The season is expected to run 5 or 6 weeks, with one practice and one game per week. Registration will open in April. More details will be available soon.
7th Annual Y Indoor Tri/Duathlon Results
Congratulations to all the athletes who participated in this year's Indoor Tri/Duathlon, and a big thank you to all the volunteers who made it possible.
Duckies on Vacation
Duckies recreational swim team will end its winter session on March 5, and resume practice the first week in October. Have a great spring/summer season, and see you then!
Youth swim team will start on June 2.

After School Child Care
The Y's After School Child Care program provides after school programming for students in grades K-6, Monday through Friday until 6 p.m. The program meets at North Elementary. School bus transportation to North is provided to students attenting other elementary schools. Registration is now open.
Do your children want to learn to swim? Sign them up for swim lessons at the YMCA.

Fees...$26 for YMCA members and $48 for Program members (4 week month, or two week, four day sessions)

The Y Awarded $500 Grant
The Daviess Count Family Y was recentally awarded $500 by the REMC Community Fund. This money will be used to purchase manikens and supplies for the Red Cross CPR classes which are held every third Saturday at the YMCA. To register for a class, call the Y or stop by the front desk.
