New Pickleball League for Adults Pickleball

Pickleball, an increasingly popular sport that provides a great workout while offering a very social and competitive game, is here at the Y.

The game is played in the gym using a perforated plastic ball and a paddle which is smaller than a tennis racquet but larger than a ping-pong paddle. The game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced game for experienced players.

Matches will be played on Monday at 1:00 pm, Tuesday at 10:00 am and Wednesday at 5:30 pm. Eventually players will need to have their own paddle, but the Y will provide equipment initially.  New players are always welcome.

The program is free to Members and costs $3 for Program Members.

Construction Nearing CompletionHard Hat

We thank our members for their patience as we near the finish line of the second Capital Construction Project. These improvement will be enjoyed for years to come.

The entire pool ceiling as well as the gymnasium has been painted.  A new chlorinator, chemical controller and Ph system has been purchased and installed for the pool, and the water quality is much improved.  Still to be completed is the women’s showers, and a small amount of work in the men’s locker room.

Thank you, donors, for making this happen.
