Youth Indoor Soccer

Keep your kids active this fall with this fast paced, action-packed sport. Indoor Soccer, for ages 4 - 9, combines basic soccer play in a walled area.  The results are irresistible fun with a challenging new team sport.

Registration opens September 2 and ends October 21. Soccer season is November 3 through December 6.

Pool Closing

The Y will be draining the pool for routine maintenance, and the pool will be closed beginning September 6. A tentative reopening date is set for September 14.

Reminder: The pool has changed back to fall/winter hours with the starting of school. Click here for Pool Schedule effective Monday, August 4.

DuckiesDuckies and Jr. Duckies to ReturnJr. Ducky

Beginning in October, Duckies and Jr. Duckies recreational swim teams will resume. This is a practice-based swim workout for adults, and youth who have previously been on the Y's summer swim team. Adults should have a basic swimming proficiency, including the ability to swim 25 m.

Ages 12 and up may participate in Jr. Duckies without an adult present. For ages 6 to 11, an adult must be on deck, or participating in Duckies.

Practices are on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 7 to 8 p.m., with session length adjusted as needed for younger swimmers.

Cost: $20 a month for Members; $40 a month for Program Members; $50 a month for Family

Registration opens in September.

After School Child Care

The Y's After School Child Care program provides after school programming for students in grades K-6, Monday through Friday until 6 p.m. The program meets at North Elementary. School bus transportation to North is provided to students attenting other elementary schools. Registration is now open.

Summer Hours

The Y will continue to operate on summer hours until October 4. Until then, the Y will close at 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and the pool will be closed on Sundays. Click here to view a pool schedule listing summer swim hours.

Swim Lessons

swimDo your children want to learn to swim? Sign them up for swim lessons at the YMCA.

Days....Tuesdays and Thursdays

Who....Youth ages 3-13
Fees...$26 for YMCA members and $48 for Program members (4 week month, or two week, four day sessions)
...$32.50 for YMCA members and $60 for Program members (5 week month)

The Y Awarded $500 Grant

The Daviess Count Family Y was recentally awarded $500 by the REMC Community Fund. This money will be used to purchase manikens and supplies for the Red Cross CPR classes which are held every third Saturday at the YMCA. To register for a class, call the Y or stop by the front desk.
