The Washington Daviess County Family YMCA is a not-for-profit membership organization committed to helping people grow in spirit, mind and body. The YMCA is here to serve people of all ages, races, religions, abilities and incomes. The Y is community-based and believes that it's programs and services should be available to everyone.

Financial Assistance Program Information


It is our pledge, within the available resources of the YMCA, to provide services to youth regardless of ability to pay. Adults may be considered for assistance on an individiual basis. Financial assistance forms are available at the front desk, or you may click here for the Financial Assisstance Application.

Please turn in the completed application, with all necessary financial documentation, to the front desk to see if you qualify for assistance.

A: Local residents who fall within our sliding income scale.



Q: How is the amount I pay determined?
A: Financial assistance is based on income and number of dependents in a household.



Q: How do I apply?
A: Obtain an application at the YMCA or click here to download one. Fill out the application completely and turn it in, with all financial verification, at the YMCA front desk. You may also mail the application to 405 NE 3rd St., Washington, IN 47501.



Q: When will I hear back?
A: It take approximately one week to process applications. Notification is usually by phone.

Q: Can I receive financial assistance for the YMCA Programs?
A: Financial assistance is available for most youth programs. Typically, financial assistance for program fees is reserved for you:as well, a portion of the program fees must be paid by the applicant.
